## Position Overview: Laboratory Analyst
The Laboratory Analyst will operate directly from the company headquarters located at Wisma Kawasan Industri Medan, Jalan Pulau Batam No. 1, Kompleks KIM Tahap II, Medan, North Sumatra. Selected candidates will manage crucial environmental testing, water sampling, and quality control procedures to support the sustainable operations of the industrial estate.
Key Responsibilities
Professionals stepping into this role will handle a diverse portfolio of daily technical tasks and environmental assessments:
* Sample Collection & Handling: Retrieve wastewater samples directly from PT KIM’s wastewater treatment units and third-party clean water facilities.
* Laboratory Analysis: Conduct precise laboratory analysis on wastewater from PT KIM’s treatment plant and industrial partners, subsequently drafting comprehensive analytical reports.
* Water Quality Monitoring: Evaluate clean water samples originating from third-party providers and designated inlet points utilized by industrial tenants.
* Chemical Inventory & Calibration Administration: Manage the receiving and consumption records of laboratory chemicals while documenting equipment calibration logs.
* Equipment Maintenance: Maintain laboratory instruments properly, perform internal calibrations, and generate meticulous calibration reports.
* Regulatory Reporting: Compile structured reports to be submitted to relevant authorized government agencies.
* Administrative & Cross-Functional Duties: Deliver accurate daily and monthly reports while executing ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Department and Division Heads.
## Candidate Qualifications and Requirements
To qualify for this rigorous technical role, applicants must meet the following baseline criteria:
* Educational Background: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.
* Academic Performance: Minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.80 out of 4.00.
* Professional Experience: Possession of at least 1 year of hands-on experience working as a Laboratory Analyst is strongly preferred.
* Core Technical Competencies:
